Children’s Choice Book Awards announced

Last night, the Children’s Book Council announced their list of winners in the Children’s Choice Book Awards. All winners were chosen by more than 500,000 children and young adult voters.  These are the books children and teens are reading!

Rick Riordan was voted “Author of the Year” for The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, Book 1) (Disney-Hyperion).

Teen Choice Book of the Year was John Green and David Levithan’s Will Grayson, Will Grayson (Dutton/Penguin).

Congratulations to all winners!  To see who won in the categories for children, visit my KidsRead blog.

Children’s Book Week posters (like this one) and a free bookmark designed by Jeff Kinney are available from the Children’s Book Council website: http://www.bookweekonline.com/.  There’s still plenty of time to celebrate! 🙂
